The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a list of 32 fake universities operating across the country. Delhi remains at the top of this infamous list, with 12 such universities spread across as many states.

The UGC Act of 1956 stops these universities from granting degrees in accordance with its regulations. The commission has advised students not to enrol in them, stating that the degrees have no professional value.
