IIM Calcutta invites applications for the MBA 2026-28 batch. Selection criteria will be a three-step process where each phase will separately deal with the scores of CAT 2025, previous academic records, and personal evaluation of the candidates.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD). For shortlisting, candidates must meet the following minimum category-wise percentiles in CAT 2025:

For the General Category, the percentile range is between 99 and 100.
A composite score is calculated to select candidates for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) based on their rankings in phase 1.
CAT 2025 Score: 56 points
Class 10 Marks: 10 points (Max points for ≥ 80%)
Class 12 Marks: 15 points (Max points for ≥ 80%)
Gender Diversity: 4 points (Only for female and transgender candidates)
Total: 85 points
The final merit list for admission is based on a final composite score out of 100:
Personal Interview (PI): 48% weightage.
CAT 2025 Score: 30% weightage.
Written Ability Test (WAT): 8% weightage.
Work Experience: 8% weightage (Maximum points for 31–36 months; experience calculated as of January 31, 2026).
Academic Diversity: 6% weightage (Awarded for non-engineering bachelor's degrees and specific professional qualifications).
