The CUET UG 2026 exam pattern will mirror that of 2025, showcasing a complete online CBT procedure, with a reduced number of total subjects, and candidates will have options to select up to five subjects. All the questions will be compulsory, and there will be no internal choices.

The exam is divided into three main sections:
This section assesses language proficiency in Indian and optional languages.
Languages covered: 13 Indian & 20 optional
Total questions: 50 MCQs (compulsory)
Duration: 60 minutes
Marking: +5 for correct, −1 for incorrect
This section evaluates knowledge in the chosen domain subject.
Subjects available: 23 domain subjects

This section tests general aptitude and awareness skills.
Areas covered: General awareness, reasoning, aptitude

Exam Mode: Only the Computer-Based Test (CBT) method was used.
Subject Selection: Up to 5 subjects can be chosen, with at least one language in it.
Syllabus: Class 12 NCERT curriculum for domain subjects as specified.
Question Type: Only Objective-type MCQs.
Removed Subjects: Specific domain subjects and foreign languages were removed; related admission through the General Test.
Flexibility: Domain subjects can be selected across streams based on university requirements.
