The SSC has opened one last window for Junior Engineer (JE) 2025 applicants who didn't choose their exam city earlier. If you missed the first chance, log in to your SSC account and use the feedback module to select your preferred city. You need to do this by 11 AM on November 28, 2025.
The SSC will do its best to provide you with a city of your choice during this extra period. If you miss this final chance, you won't be assigned an exam centre for JE Paper 1 and won't receive your admit card.
Your city status will be live on November 25, 2025, if you selected your city between November 10 and November 13.
There are 5,308 vacancies for both JE and SI roles as the SSC prepares for a busy hiring season. Because there are so many applications, they are trying to make their system more digital and user-friendly.

The self-slotting window of the Joint Engineer (JE) was available from November 10–13, and the Sub-Inspector (SI) window was from November 17–21. Candidates were not allowed to change their choices after they had been locked. In case of a missed deadline, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) could allot exam cities. This last window is planned to be fair during a hectic recruitment period.
SSC is planning a major recruitment drive with 5,308 vacancies for both the JE and SI posts. Due to the large number of applications, SSC's action shows that they are making the exam process more digital and user-friendly for candidates.
