RRB Exams For 2026: Check Here For Major Recruitment Details

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a notification and exam months calendar for major RRB posts, including ALP, Technician, JE, NTPC, and Group D for 2026. The official website to check vacancies and other details is rrbapply.gov.in. 

Nodal Specific RRBs are assigned to each category for 2026 (e.g., RRB Jammu for ALP, RRB Prayagraj for NTPC Graduate, and RRB Chandigarh for Level 1). Aadhar verification is mandatory for all vacancies. 

The vacancy details are given below:

RRB Group D (Level 1) 2026 (CEN 09/2025)

• Vacancies (Pointsman, Track Maintainer, Assistants): Approx. 22,195 posts. 

• Application Dates: 31st January 2026 - 2nd March 2026.

• Eligibility: 10th pass or ITI.

• Age: 18 to 33 years.

• Exam Date: Expected in May 2026.

• Selection: CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV), Medical Exam.

RRB NTPC 2026 (CEN 06/2025 & CEN 07/2025)

• Vacancies (Graduate: 5,810; Undergraduate: 3,058): 8,868.

• Application Status: Released in January 2026.

• Exam Date: Expected in April 2026 (Graduate) and May 2026 (Undergraduate).

• Posts: Station Master, Goods Train Manager, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Clerk cum Typist.

RRB Junior Engineer (JE) 2026 (CEN 05/2025)

• Vacancies: 2,588 (Revised).

• Exam Dates: 19-20 February and 3 March 2026.

• Eligibility: Diploma/Degree in Engineering.

Other 2026 Exams (Tentative Schedule)

1. RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP): 

1. Notification expected Feb 2026

2. Exam Feb 16–18, 2026.

2. RRB Technician: 

1. Notification expected March 2026

2. Exam March 5–9, 2026.

3. RRB Paramedical: Notification July 2026.

4. RRB Section Controller: Notification April 2026

The examination is conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode with a negative marking of one-third mark for each incorrect answer. The application fee is Rs.500 for General and OBC candidates and Rs.250 for SC, ST, Female, and PwBD candidates, with a refund applicable after appearing for the exam.
