Open Universities See Rise in Admissions for 2025–26 as More Students Choose Flexible Learning

This year open universities in India have received many more applications this year. The flexibility of online and distance learning courses is the reason why these students are choosing them. 

These universities like Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Dr B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), and Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) are seeing many new applications this year for the 2025–26 session.

They extended their admission dates due to the high demand. A lot of students choose courses such as business studies, computer applications, education, and social sciences. Additionally, employees and those who are preparing for competitive exams have been enrolling as well.
