NMC Extends Deadline for Medical Colleges to Submit MBBS Admission Data 2026

NEW DELHI: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the last date to submit admission data of the first-year MBBS students admitted in the academic session 2025-26 in the medical colleges to its admission portal.

The admission details are to be submitted on the NMC portal till midnight on March 31, 2026, the Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) notice states.

Extension given to fill admission data-2025-26

The date was extended to complete the submission of the admission data for the first year MBBS course; medical colleges have been given extra time by the NMC. The move comes in response to institutions wanting more time to submit and fill out complete admission data of the first year MBBS course students admitted under the academic session 2025-26.

Many requests have been received by the Commission asking the portal to be opened again to submit pending admission data, the NMC notice states. It was then that the Commission chose to give the institutions until the stated deadline to submit the admission records on the portal.

Medical colleges and institutes were directed by the Commission, in their communication, that all the required student details should be uploaded on the portal before the fresh deadline given. The Commission also said that no further extension will be granted for the submission of admission details after the fixed date.

Instructions to college authorities:

The notice has been sent to all the Directors, Deans, and principals of the medical colleges across India. They have been asked to make sure the details are uploaded via the right NMC admission portal. Institutions were also asked to stick to the guidelines to smoothly upload the admission data.

Advisory to the states and constituent organisations

The NMC has also shared the notification with State and Union Territory Medical Education Departments and Directorates of Medical Education. Such authorities have been requested to ensure that the admission data is submitted by the concerned affiliated medical colleges within the prescribed new timeline. 

The medical colleges have been asked to thoroughly check the admission data before uploading it on the new timeline and that uploading on the portal is essential for the official admission record for the MBBS session 2025-26.
