NIC National Informatics Centre Services Ltd. (NICSI) has started inviting applications for its Internship Programme 2026, offering students exposure to government technologies. The application period runs from 1 April to 10 April 2026.
Interested candidates are advised to submit their applications before the deadline. The programme is designed to provide hands-on experience with real government tech projects, making it ideal for students interested in exploring the potential for public-sector innovation through digital governance.
The chosen interns will be able to work in some of the most in-demand fields, such as:
e-Governance
Security of cyberspace and Cyber Security
Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML)
Data Science
Digital Public Infrastructure
Government Cloud
These fields align with India’s ongoing march toward digital transformation and tech governance. This gives students exposure to live systems and policy-driven technological implementation.
Instead of traditional internships, the NICSI programme focuses on project-based learning within government systems. It allows interns to work on projects that affect public services on a large scale. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how massive digital platforms within the government ecosystem are built, secured, and operated.
