NDA & NA (I) 2027: Official Application Window Opens in December 2026

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the timeline for the NDA & NA (I) 2027 examination. Aspirants aiming for a career in the Armed Forces can access the official application window for the National Defence Academy starting December 2, 2026.

According to the official UPSC examination calendar, the online registration process will remain active for a three-week window, closing strictly on December 22, 2026. The offline written examination is scheduled to be conducted nationwide on April 11, 2027.

NDA & NA (I) 2027: Eligibility and Requirements

Young aspirants looking to join the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings must meet strict demographic and educational criteria:

• Age Bracket: Only unmarried male and female candidates born between July 2, 2008, and July 1, 2011, are eligible to apply.

• Educational Background: Candidates currently appearing in or who have passed Class 12 can apply. However, those targeting the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy wings must have studied Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

How to Apply

Once the portal goes live in December 2026, eligible candidates can submit their forms online. The commission will host the application forms exclusively on its official portal at upsconline.nic.in. 

Candidates are advised to complete their One-Time Registration (OTR) profile before the window opens to ensure a smooth application process. Admit cards for the written test are expected to be issued by late March 2027.
