The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced a new 40-week online professional development course aimed at enhancing the pedagogy of middle school educators. The program, titled "Teaching of Science at Middle Stage", is designed to upgrade the subject knowledge, instructional methodologies, and classroom assessment skills of science teachers across the country.
Prospective students can access registration forms and course materials directly on the official portal at ncertx.in.
The comprehensive curriculum consists of 40 distinct modules released sequentially. Participants are expected to dedicate roughly 6 to 8 hours per week to complete interactive multimedia assignments, weekly objective assessments, and a final comprehensive examination. Candidates who successfully clear the program will be awarded an official NCERT e-certificate.

Pedagogical Strategies: Modules focus on active learning strategies, understanding how children learn science, and continuous internal assessment techniques.
Core Subject Materials: Theoretical and practical modules covering physical and chemical changes, cellular biology, energy conservation, ecosystems, and electricity.
The program is tailored for both upcoming and established educators in the science domain.
Target Profile: In-service teachers instructing Classes 6 to 8, pre-service teachers, and individuals holding a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree.
Educational Prerequisites: Applicants should hold a diploma or degree in education, or currently be enrolled in one.
Course Fees: A non-refundable fee of INR 2,000 is mandatory at the time of online application.
