KVS Admission Process 2026 Starts: Online & Offline Forms Available, Full Schedule Here

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), New Delhi, has issued detailed instructions for new admissions for the 2026-27. Online registration for admission to Class I and Balvatika-1 & 3 (if any) will begin on March 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., using the same online facility as before.

The deadline for online admission is April 2, 2026. According to the Admission Schedule 2026-27, classes II and above will be admitted only through the online mode, subject to vacancies. Instructions have been distributed in both English and Hindi.

Eligibility and Age Criteria

(i) Age Criteria for Class I: The age of the child must be at least 6 years on or before 31st March 2026. Admission shall be made as per KVS Admission Guidelines 2026-27 including reservation policies.

(ii) Age Criteria for Balvatika: 3 to 4 years for Balvatika-1; 4 to 5 years for Balvatika-2 and 5 to 6 years for Balvatika-3 on or before 31 st March 2026. Students may be admitted to Class I in those KVs where Balvatika-3 exists.

Admission to other classes and the new KVS

Offline admission for Balvatika-2 and 3 (if online admission is not operational), Class-II and beyond (except Class XI) will be carried out at the respective KV school from 02.04.2026 to 08.04.2026 by submitting the application forms to the respective Principal KV.

New KVs functioning from 01.04.2026: Balvatika admission will be done through the online portal, while admission from class II to V will be done offline at the KV.

Addition of a section in old KVs: Admission to Class-I may be arranged offline.

KVS Admissions: Publicity & Document Verification Process

Publication of admission notification in newspapers (including local language) and websites shall be done by the concerned Regional Offices. The vacancy position for class II and above would be displayed on the school websites, social media and notice boards prior to initiation of the offline admission procedure.

Principals are also requested to validate certificates like the certificate of date of birth, certificate of service, address proof certificate, caste certificate, disability certificate etc, as in the past, fake certificates led to cancellation of admissions.
