Kvs Admission 2026: First Provisional List Expected On April 9

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is set to release the first provisional admission list for Class 1 on April 9, 2026. Online registrations for the 2026-27 academic session commenced on March 20 and will remain open until April 2, 2026, according to official guidelines. Parents and guardians can visit the official KVs website, kvsangathan.nic.in, for centralised notifications and admission guidelines.

Important Dates for the KVS Admission Schedule

The selection process for Class 1 is conducted via a computerised lottery system. Following the initial release, subsequent lists will be published if seats remain vacant: 

• First Provisional List (Class 1): April 9, 2026.

• Balvatika Provisional List: April 8, 2026.

• Second List (if vacancies exist): April 16, 2026.

• Third List (if vacancies exist): April 21, 2026

Eligibility and Documentation

For Class 1, children must be at least 6 years old as of March 31, 2026. Successful candidates must present the following for verification: 

• Original birth certificate.

• Proof of residence (Aadhar, electricity bill, etc.).

• Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), if applicable.

• Service certificate for priority category applicants.

• Visit the official KVS website or the KVS Online Admission portal.

• Click on “Check Application Status” and log in with your registration code.

• You can also check the admission list on the specific school’s website under Academic/Admission.

• Find the “Lottery Result” link and download the PDF for reference.
