Jawaharlal Nehru University has released its mega faculty recruitment notification for 2026, opening doors for academic professionals nationwide. Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

The educational qualification requirements conform strictly to the standard UGC Regulations 2018. There is no upper age limit specified for these regular academic positions.

  • Professor: Applicants must hold a PhD degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years of teaching or research experience. A total research score of 120, along with 10 peer-reviewed research publications, is mandatory.

  • Associate Professor: Candidates require a PhD degree, a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, and 8 years of teaching experience. A minimum of 7 research publications with a research score of 75 is required.

  • Assistant Professor: A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant subject is required. Candidates must also have cleared the UGC-NET / SLET / SET exam or hold a PhD compliant with standard UGC regulations.
