Jawaharlal Nehru University has released its mega faculty recruitment notification for 2026, opening doors for academic professionals nationwide. Under advertisement number RC/75/2026, the premier central university is inviting online applications for 122 permanent teaching positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor roles.

The educational qualification requirements conform strictly to the standard UGC Regulations 2018. There is no upper age limit specified for these regular academic positions.
Professor: Applicants must hold a PhD degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 years of teaching or research experience. A total research score of 120, along with 10 peer-reviewed research publications, is mandatory.
Associate Professor: Candidates require a PhD degree, a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks, and 8 years of teaching experience. A minimum of 7 research publications with a research score of 75 is required.
Assistant Professor: A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the relevant subject is required. Candidates must also have cleared the UGC-NET / SLET / SET exam or hold a PhD compliant with standard UGC regulations.
