IIT Mandi Opens Applications for Short-term, On-Campus Courses For Winter 2025

IIT Mandi has started receiving applications for a set of short-term, on-campus certificate courses that will take place during the Winter Break 2025. These programs, provided by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), are aimed at students, researchers, educators, and working professionals all over India. 

The classes will start in December 2025 and will consist of practical training as well as the opportunity to work in cutting-edge laboratories. 

The main objective of the courses is to fill the gap between the academic world and the industrial expectations. The training is designed to improve the practical skills of the learners and, at the same time, allow them to interact with real-life problems and come up with solutions.

By offering hands-on training in the areas of emerging and industry-relevant domains, these courses are designed to enhance the practical competence and industry gap. Electric and Hybrid Vehicles enlighten the students about the main ideas of electric mobility, including the EV structure, hybrid systems, and battery advancement, among others.

Statistical Data Analysis and Deep Learning 2.0 educate the students in the application of machine learning through neural networks and fashionable deep learning models. Advanced Optical Diagnostic Techniques covers high-end optical equipment, laser diagnostics, and spectroscopy, making the students ready for exclusive research and engineering applications.

The winter courses at IIT Mandi are designed to fulfil the main objective of upskilling experienced professionals, to increase practical skills that enable participants to gain greater technical know-how through practical training and labs. The eligible candidates must have a graduate or post-graduate degree, or they can be PhD scholars. Working professionals and educators from Universities and colleges are also eligible for these courses.
