IIT Mandi Announces PRAYAS 4.0: 1-Month Training in Emerging Tech

The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, through its Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), opens applications for PRAYAS 4.0, a flagship one-month residential certificate program in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Scheduled to run from June 25 to July 23, 2026, the program is designed to provide an immersive, hands-on experience for students and tech enthusiasts at the institute’s scenic Himalayan campus.

Mandi IIT Campus: Intensive Hands-on Curriculum

PRAYAS (Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring Students) 4.0 focuses on bridging the gap between theory and industry application. The curriculum includes:

• AI & Machine Learning: Foundations of neural networks, computer vision using OpenCV, and training models for object detection (YOLO).

• Robotics: Designing autonomous systems, working with microcontrollers (Arduino/Raspberry Pi), and exploring Swarm Robotics.

• IoT Ecosystems: Building smart connected devices using communication protocols like MQTT and HTTP.

• Practical Experience: Participants will spend 5-6 hours daily in faculty-led lab sessions, culminating in a guided capstone project.

Key Logistics and Eligibility

• Eligibility: The program is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from any science or engineering background. No prior technical experience is required to apply.

• Program Fee: The total course fee is INR 62,400 + GST, which covers tuition, hostel accommodation, and meals at the campus mess.

• Certification: Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded an official certificate from the CCE, Mandi campus of an IIT.
