In January 2026, IIT Delhi introduced a new course, Executive Programme in Healthcare Entrepreneurship and Management (EPHEM), for the aspirants of the healthcare sector.
This program comes under the Continuing Education Programme (CEP), which is a multidisciplinary initiative. It aimed at providing professionals with the necessary skills to create and grow healthcare ventures.
The course is primarily for:
Medical Professionals
Engineers & Researchers
Entrepreneurs & Start-up Founders
Corporate Professionals
Young Graduates
Education: A mandatory bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Experience: While prior work experience is not desirable, internships or project-based exposure are considered highly desirable for applicants.
Duration & Format: A 5-month course delivered via live online weekend sessions, supplemented by guided project work.
Curriculum Focus: Covers the entire healthcare innovation lifecycle, including identifying clinical gaps, design thinking, prototyping (3D printing and digital tools), testing, and commercialization strategies.
Collaboration: Anchored by the Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME) at IIT Delhi, the program includes clinical insights and expertise from AIIMS Delhi.
Fees: INR 1,30,000 + GST, with an additional application fee of INR 1,000
The program focuses on building end-to-end innovation skills, combining healthcare technology, business strategy, and hands-on project work.
Participants learn to manage the innovation lifecycle, develop strong business acumen, work on real clinical problems, and integrate emerging technologies such as digital health, AI diagnostics, and medical devices.
