The Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026 is a unified admission system for the two-year top MBA programs at four prominent Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). It is managed by IIM Raipur, and it simplifies the selection procedure in replacing of separate applications, and interviews are substituted with a single-window system.
For the JAP 2026, the participating institutes are IIM Raipur (Coordinator), IIM Kashipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Tiruchirappalli (Trichy).
To reduce the complexity JAP was introduced this year by participating IIMs on September 9, 2025. As the results of CAT 2025 were announced, the Common Registration Portal went active on December 26, 2025. The whole process is simplified as follows:
One Application: Fill out only one form for all participating IIMs after CAT results.
One Interview: Attend a single Personal Interview, shared by all four IIMs.
No GD/WAT: Selection is based only on the Personal Interview.
Separate Results: Each IIM prepares its own final merit list using CAT, PI, and academics.
CAT 2025 Score: A legitimate CAT 2025 score is mandatory. The minimum overall percentile requirements usually stand at 90 for the General category and 75 for EWS/NC-OBC.
Academic Criteria: Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD).
Registration Portal: The registration started on December 26, 2025, after the release of the CAT results. The eligible candidates can register through the IIM Raipur JAP Portal.
Timeline: The Personal Interviews are tentatively planned to take place between February and March 2026.
The Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026 marks a strategic shift for established mid-tier IIMs Raipur, Kashipur, Ranchi, and Tiruchirappalli, as they move away from the larger Common Admission Process (CAP) to form a more specialized, student-centric selection framework
