IIM Ahmedabad Summer Placements 2026: Consulting Leads Again, Rise in ‘Dream Applications’ at IIM-A

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) completed summer placements for the PGP (MBA) and PGP-Food & Agribusiness Management (PGP-FABM) Class of 2027 on November 3, 2025. 

All students from both programs received internship offers. The PGP placements occurred across three clusters, while the PGP-FABM placements used a hybrid format.

Across different areas, 410 offers were made. Consulting had the most with 166 offers, which is 40 per cent of all placements. The Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) area came in second with 105 offers. 

IIM Ahmedabad reports that over 50 fresh companies joined the PGP recruitment this year. Existing recruiters also increased their offers. The PGP-FABM program involved over 35 companies from agriculture, FMCG, consulting, and related fields.

PGP Summer Placements 2025–26: All 410 students placed

The PGP summer placements, which included 25 groups, were divided into three clusters. All 410 students got placed, with over 165 firms providing more than 230 positions. The cluster-by-cluster placement numbers are as follows:

–Cluster 1: 234

–Cluster 2: 123

–Cluster 3: 53

Cluster 1, which includes consulting, investment banking, and PE/VC, saw consulting firms as the main recruiters. Major global firms led placements, with Boston Consulting Group making 24 offers, McKinsey & Company 17, and Bain & Company and Kearney 15 each showing a continued strong need for management consultants.

Goldman Sachs hired for India, Hong Kong, and Singapore, giving 11 offers in the Investment Banking and Markets group. Standard Chartered Bank gave nine offers, which helped with international hiring.

Private Equity and Venture Capital firms like Blackstone, Gaja Capital, and Ares Management also hired, showing stable interest. 

Accenture Strategy was a major contributor in operations and strategy, with the India Market Unit and Global Network together giving 39 offers. Other big recruiters in this area were Vector Consulting Group with 12 offers, American Express with 11, and EY Parthenon with 10.

In the second group, FinIQ Consulting was the top recruiter with 17 offers. Mahindra & Mahindra and JioStar both made 10 offers. P&G and Amazon each gave eight offers, while Tata Administrative Services, ITC Limited, and Flipkart made six each. Hindustan Unilever Limited also gave five offers. The school noted that Cluster 2 had more chances in the FMCG and conglomerate groups than the previous year.

Cluster 3 saw participation from TCS, Adobe, Microsoft, and firms in the core sector.

Tata Consultancy Services recruited the most in Cluster 3, extending 13 offers in Niche Consulting. Adobe made 5 offers in the Enterprise Technology group, while Microsoft made 4. Hero MotoCorp and Tata Steel each made 3 offers in core manufacturing and infrastructure, followed by Suzuki (Japan) with 2.
