The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) currently accepts applications for its upcoming B.Ed program which will begin in 2026. Candidates can begin their registration process to apply for the program through the online portal ignou-bed.samarth.edu.in
The application form submission period ends on February 27 2026. Students can study for their B.Ed degree through IGNOU which provides education through both open and distance learning methods.
The university will decide student admissions based on results from its entrance examination. The admission fee will be Rs. 1,000, payable online. 1. Open ignou-bed. samarth. edu. in on your browser.
2. Choose the B. Ed 2026 registration option.
3. Create an account using your current email address and phone number.
4. Provide your personal as well as educational information.
5. Upload the necessary files.
6. The online application fee is Rs 1,000; proceed with the payment.
7. After sending the form, download the confirmation page.
The B.Ed program at IGNOU for 2026 requires candidates to meet specific educational qualifications. Candidates need to hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science or social science or commerce or humanities with a minimum of 50 percent marks.
Candidates who completed engineering or technology degrees with a focus on science and mathematics need to achieve 55 percent marks.
The minimum marks requirement will be reduced for SC candidates and ST candidates and OBC-NCL candidates and PwD candidates according to established regulations. There is no restriction on maximum age for applicants to the program.
The form should only be filled by applicants who have verified their eligibility requirements.
