IAF Recruitment 2026: AgniveerVayu & Group Y Medical Assistant Notification Out

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the recruitment notifications for the Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 and the Airmen Group Y (Medical Assistant) trade. The online registration portal is now live.  The recruitment drive offers a structured career path in national defence, featuring a competitive monthly stipend, comprehensive medical insurance, and skill-building opportunities.

Key Recruitment Dates

  • Registration Start Date: 6 July 2026

  • Registration Last Date: 26 July 2026 (until 23:00 hrs)

  • Online Exam Dates: 22 September and 23 September 2026

  • Provisional Select List (PSL): 21 May 2027

  • Final Enrolment List: 1 June 2027

Eligibility Criteria & Qualification

1. Age Limit

  • General Candidates: Must be born between 1 July 2006 and 1 July 2010 (both dates inclusive).

  • Diploma/B.Sc Pharmacy Holders: Must be born between 1 July 2003 and 1 July 2008 (both dates inclusive) if unmarried, or up to 1 July 2001 if married.

2. Educational Qualification

  • 10+2 / Intermediate: Passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English from an approved board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

  • Pharmacy Degree: Completed a 2-year Diploma or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) with a minimum of 50% marks, registered with a State Pharmacy Council.

Application Fee and Salary Details

  • Examination Fee: INR 550 plus 18% GST (payable online via credit card, debit card, or net banking).

  • Stipend During Training: INR 14,600 per month.

  • Post-Training Pay Scale: Starting at INR 26,900 per month plus Military Service Pay (MSP) and applicable dearness allowances.

  • Insurance Cover: Comprehensive life insurance cover of INR 62.5 Lakhs during service.

Phase-by-Phase Selection Process

Candidates must clear three distinct selection rounds to secure enrolment:

  1. Phase I (Online Test): Objective-type test covering English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

  2. Phase II (Physical & Adaptability): Includes a 1.6 km run, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and a dynamic adaptability test.

  3. Phase III (Medical Examination): Comprehensive health assessment by the IAF Medical Board.
