Haryana Govt to Revamp Schools: Smart Class Boards, New Scholarships Coming Soon

The state government of Haryana is renovating the public school infrastructure through the installation of nearly 26,000 smart class boards. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda informed that the government is also upgrading the school system by enhancing the scholarship schemes and by supplying nutritious midday meals to the children.

He said the government is making efforts to provide students with a contemporary, secure and fully-equipped environment for learning.

The minister, while chairing a review meeting, stated that the implementation of smart education has very much contributed to the technological readiness of the students. 

He added that the govt is making the scholarship schemes more effective to be able to provide the necessary support to the students who come from economically weak families.

Additional chief secretary (school education) Vineet Garg, CM's OSD Raj Nehru, director general (elementary education) Vivek Aggarwal, director (school education) Jitendra Dahiya, and other officials were present at the meeting.

Moreover, dual desks are being placed in all the government schools to ensure the comfort of the students in the classroom, and officials have been given the direction to release the schedule for online teacher transfers, he informed.

At the meeting, Dhanda was very clear that the midday meal quality must be checked regularly in govt-approved laboratories.

Officials were given a mandate to speed up the construction of school buildings and to be involved in conducting regular inspections.

The minister mentioned that teachers have to perform their classes on time and keep high standards of teaching. He cautioned that, if officers show indifference, they will be dealt with.

The minister also gave the instruction that any ACP and medical-related matters that are pending should be resolved first so that there is no trouble for the staff.
