IIT Guwahati started registration for GATE 2026 today, August 28, 2025, on its website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Those interested in applying for MTech admissions and research programs can now submit their GATE 2026 applications online.
The deadline for submitting the form without a late fee is September 28, 2025. Applications will still be accepted until October 9, 2025, if a late fee is paid.
IIT Guwahati will manage the online application for GATE 2026, which will go live today, August 28, 2025. This application is for prospective students seeking admission to the MTech and Ph.D. programs.
To register for GATE 2026, applicants can use the GOAPS portal and create a GATE Candidate Login 2026 account. You can only apply online at gate2026.iitg.ac.in if you meet the GATE 2026 requirements.
The deadline to submit the GATE application form 2026 without extra fees is September 28, 2025. After this, applications will still be accepted, but with an added fee.
The GATE 2026 exam is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15.6. Each day will consist of two sessions, one in the morning (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM) and another in the afternoon (2:30 PM to 5:30 PM).
The GATE 2026 registration process is entirely online and must be completed via the official website. To complete the GATE 2026 application form, follow these steps:
Go to the official website: gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
Locate and click the GATE 2026 application portal link on the homepage.
Register on the GOAPS 2026 portal to get your Enrollment ID.
Make a password to log in to the GATE Candidate Login 2026.
Enter all needed information, like exam details, personal information, degree info, and contact address.
Upload the needed documents in the proper format and pay the GATE application fee online.
Check all information, confirm the declaration, and submit the form.
The application form can be downloaded and printed for your records.
