The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has officially delayed the release of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 admit card, which was initially set for January 2, 2026.
Although the organizing institute has not yet confirmed a new final date, it is said that the hall tickets are expected to be released on or about January 7, 2026. The delay is considered due to many administrative and technical factors. Applicants can visit the official GATE 2026 website for details.
Mock Tests Available: The links to the official mock tests for all 30 test papers were activated on November 12, 2025. They are available on the official mock test portal to allow the candidates to get used to the computer-based test interface.
Unchanged Exam Dates: The admit cards might have been delayed, but the exam is still going to be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.
Download Process: After the admit cards are released, the candidates are required to access the GOAPS portal with their enrollment ID (or email address) and password to print the hall ticket.
Mandatory Documents: In the testing room, you should have the admit card on A4 paper and a valid original photo identity proof for entrance.
Result Declaration: GATE 2026 results are expected to be declared on March 19, 2026.

As of today, 07 January 26, the admit cards are widely expected to be released through the GATE 2026 portal. Candidates should use their Enrollment ID and Password to log in to the GOAPS portal to check for the download link.
