DU UG Admission 2026: Direct Admissions Open via Class 12 Marks

In a major update for the DU UG Admission 2026 cycle, Delhi University has permitted select affiliated colleges to conduct direct, merit-based admissions using Class 12 board marks. This extraordinary one-time measure aims to fill more than 13,400 vacant seats that remained unclaimed after the conclusion of the regular DU CSAS portal admission rounds.

• Unallocated Students Only: This option is strictly for candidates who do not hold a seat in any DU college.

• Course Restrictions: Admissions are limited to specific programmes facing severe vacancy deficits, primarily select B.A. Programmes and specific B.Sc. tracks.

• No Document Relaxations: Colleges will not accept temporary "undertakings." Valid Class 10, 12, and category certificates must be produced immediately.

Over 35 off-campus and evening institutions are driving this spot-merit round. Key participating names include Shyam Lal College, Rajdhani College, Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening), Kalindi College, and Lakshmibai College.

Candidates must bypass the centralized university dashboard. Instead, you must apply directly on the individual websites of the participating colleges. Each institution will independently evaluate applications and issue localized cutoff marks based on Class 12 percentages.

University officials clarified that this drive is a localized logistical solution to prevent institutional resource waste and does not replace the CUET exam for future academic years.
