The admission process for postgraduate courses at Delhi University (DU) through the Common Seat Allocation System 2025 is progressing quickly. The first phase has been completed and will be introduced for the second phase of seat allocation, scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
The university will open special mid-entry windows on July 4th from 2-4 pm for those who missed the first application round for some reason, starting at 5 pm on July 4th.
During the first phase of the admission process, 1,314 out of 13,432 postgraduate seats were allocated. So far, 7586 candidates have accepted their assigned seats. It's important to note that these numbers don't include seats for performance-based courses, and the university has yet to provide the complete data for this initial phase.
The second list will be posted on the candidates' dashboards by 5 pm on Tuesday. If you receive a seat allotment in this round, make sure to accept your seat by 4:59 pm on Friday. After that, the relevant departments, centres or colleges will handle the online verification and approval of documents, which should be finished by 4:59 pm on Saturday.
The last step in this admissions round is to pay the admission fee, which needs to be done by 4:59 pm on Sunday. This year, DU is welcoming students into 82 postgraduate programs.
The registration for these courses started on May 16 and ended on June 12.
In total, 53,609 candidates registered, which includes 23,117 male candidates, 30,490 female candidates and two transgender applicants.
Delhi University will release the round of seat allocation on July 8. This round will cover special categories including children and widows of war veterans, the sports quota, ward quota and performance-based programs like MFA, MA in music, BPEd, and MPEd. If you're assigned a seat in this round, you'll need to accept your offer by 4:59 PM on July 10, complete document verification by July 11, and pay the admission fee by 4:59 PM on July 12.
