The Delhi Government’s Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC opened the application window for various scholarship schemes for the 2025-26 academic year. Eligible students from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backwards Classes (OBC) categories can apply via the e-District Delhi portal before the deadline on April 30, 2026. School Education Support: Students in Classes 1-12 can receive reimbursement for tuition and other mandatory fees. This is generally available to families with an annual income of up to INR 3 lakh.
Mukhyamantri Vidyarthi Pratibha Yojana: This scheme offers annual financial assistance of INR 5,000 for students in Classes 9-10 and INR 10,000 for those in Classes 11-12.
Higher Education Merit Scholarships: Ranging from INR 8,000 to INR 24,000 per year, these are available for undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses. Minimum 60% aggregate marks are required for the last qualified exam.
Dr B.R. Ambedkar State Topper Award: A prestigious award of INR 25,000 for top-performing SC, ST, and OBC students in various university disciplines.
Financial Assistance for Studies Abroad: SC students pursuing Master's or PhD programs overseas can receive up to INR 5 lakh per year, with total support capped at INR 10 lakh and INR 20 lakh, respectively.
To be eligible, applicants must be permanent residents of Delhi and belong to the SC, ST, or OBC categories. Income certificates and caste certificates issued by the competent authority in Delhi are mandatory.
Students are advised to complete their applications well before the April 30 deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
The last date to apply for these scholarships is April 30, 2026.
