The 3rd Provisional Allotment List for CLAT 2026 is being released today, 5 February 2026, at around 10:00 AM IST. As per recent updates,  the Undergraduate (UG) counselling process has been postponed until further notice. The Allahabad High Court ordered the Consortium of NLUs to update their merit list. The official link for the 3rd Provisional Allotment List download is the Consortium of NLUs website.

The delay in the CLAT 2026 UG 3rd Provisional Allotment List is due to a legal dispute over the official answer key. The Allahabad High Court ordered a revision of the merit list, which affected the counselling process.

On 3 February 2026, the Allahabad High Court directed the Consortium of NLUs to revise the CLAT UG 2026 merit list in response to a petition challenging the evaluation process for the following reasons:

  • Answer Key Discrepancy
The court observed that the Oversight Committee changed the answer to a disputed question without a valid justification, even overriding expert recommendations.

  • Correction Order Impact
The court allowed two correct options for the disputed question, requiring recalculation of scores and ranks, which delayed the allotment process.

The status of the 3rd Provisional Allotment List for CLAT 2026 varies depending on the program:

  • PG (LLM) Candidates: The 3rd merit list has reportedly been released today, as per the original schedule, at 10:00 AM.

  • UG (BA LLB) Candidates: The release of the 3rd merit list for undergraduate courses has been postponed until further notice.

The successful candidates need to finish their admission process or select between Freeze and Float options before 12 February 2026 at 1:00 PM to secure their seat allocation.
