CBSE will be administering the CTET exam on Feb 8, 2026. It is a national-level exam that will be held on paper in over 132 cities. According to the board, the candidates who have registered should expect certain information soon.
It is related to the admit card, exam plan, when to arrive at the exam centre, as well as the pass marks, and this will be available at the CTET. nic. in and cbse. gov. in for all those who will have to download it. The admit card is essential for identification purposes and without it, entry into the examination hall will not be allowed.
There will be two sessions of CTET 2026 on the same day. The first paper is for applicants planning to teach at the lower primary level, i. e., classes 1 to 5 which will start at 9: 30 AM and end at 12 noon.
However, candidates should be there before 7: 30 am as the entry will be allowed till 9: 30 am only and after that gate will be closed strictly.
In the afternoon session starting at 2: 30 pm and ending by 5 pm, there will be Paper 2 for applicants who want jobs as teachers in classes 6 – 8. The candidates are expected to arrive at 12:30 p.m., while the entry gate will be closed at 2:30 p.m.
There will be 150 questions in every paper and all of them will be multiple-choice questions, each carrying a mark of one. Total time allocated for the exam is 2. 5 hours. However, there is no negative marking.
The question paper has been divided into three parts i. e., Child Development and Pedagogy which will take up the largest portion. It evaluates one’s pedagogical knowledge, comprehension capacity, and teaching skills.

Go to the official website: ctet.nic.in or cbse.gov.in.
On the main page, tap on the “CTET 2026 Admit Card”.
A new tab will appear where you need to fill in the details.
Fill in your Application Number, Date of Birth and Security Pin.
Hit Submit.
The admit card will be displayed on the Screen.
You may now download the admit card and take print out.
Please verify all the information carefully – name, exam centre, date and shift.
