The first examination results of the 2026 CBSE Class 10th examination will be released by the examination board in late April 2026. The early release of the 10th result board is due to its new system, which includes two tests to decrease student pressure and follow the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 requirements.

The 2026 board exam format introduces a more flexible and student-friendly system, giving learners an extra chance to improve their performance without waiting an entire year.
New 2026 Format Exclusive Features:
Students get two chances to appear for board exams in the same academic year.
Phase 1 (Mandatory): Conducted in February–March, this is the main exam attempt for all students.
Phase 2 (Optional): Held in May-June, for students who want to improve scores or missed the first attempt due to valid reasons.
Best Score Policy: The higher marks in each subject from either phase will be considered in the final result.
Students can reappear for up to 3 subjects in Phase 2, mainly those with 50% or more external assessment (like Maths, Science, Social Science, Languages).
Single Internal Assessment: Practicals and internal marks are conducted once and carried forward to Phase 2.
Essential Repeat Rule: Students who miss 3 or more subjects in Phase 1 will be marked as Essential Repeat and cannot appear in Phase 2 in the same year.
