The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially activated the online application portal for Class 10 students wishing to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets for the 2026 board examinations.

The application window is currently live and will remain open until August 9, 2026. This facility is available to students from both the Main Board Examination (results declared April 15) and the Second Board Examination (results declared July 18). Students can access the dedicated application gateway directly through the official CBSE Photocopy, Verification, and Re-Evaluation Portal

Strict Timeline and Fee Structure

Students must adhere to a strict, sequential three-stage process to challenge their marks. Obtaining a scanned copy is a mandatory prerequisite for further re-evaluation.

  • Stage 1: Obtaining Scanned Copies

    • Dates: August 5 to August 9, 2026

    • Fee: ?300 per subject

  • Stage 2: Verification of Marks (Re-totalling)

    • Dates: August 16 to August 19, 2026

    • Fee: INR 300 per answer book

  • Stage 3: Re-Evaluation (Question Challenge)

    • Dates: August 16 to August 19, 2026

    • Fee: INR 100 per question

Key Guidelines for Applicants

According to the official CBSE notification, applications must be submitted exclusively online through the board's digital gateway. No offline or physical applications will be entertained.

Students should note that if a re-totalling or re-evaluation results in a change of marks—whether an increase or a decrease—the original marksheet will be rendered invalid. Students will be required to surrender their old mark sheet to receive the revised version.
