High Financial Incentives for Medical and Professional Courses

The scholarship provides hefty financial relief by covering academic tuition fees alongside a uniform maintenance allowance. Under the revised guidelines for the 2026-27 session:

  • Medical (MBBS/BDS): Up to INR 3 lakh.

  • Professional/Diploma (Engg/Nursing/Law): Up to INR 1.25 lakh.

  • General Degrees (BA/BSc/BCom/BCA): Up to INR 30,000.

  • Living Expenses (Hostel/Mess/Books): Flat INR 1 Lakh (all students).

Key Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the AICTE SSSJKL 2026 scheme, candidates must fulfil the following conditions:

  • Domicile: Must hold a valid domicile certificate of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh.

  • Education: Must have passed Class 12 from JKBOSE or CBSE schools located within J&K/Ladakh during the 2024-25 or 2025-26 academic years.

  • Diploma Holders: Students seeking lateral entry into 2nd-year B.Tech programmes must hold a diploma from the J&K Board of Technical Education.

  • Family Income: The total annual family income from all sources must not exceed Rs 800,000.

  • Entrance Exams: Medical aspirants must have qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Important Dates and Verification Process

  • Registration Deadline: July 29, 2026

  • Document Verification Closes: July 30, 2026

  • Seat Allocation Results: Expected between August 7 and August 9, 2026

Candidates must complete their online registration on the official AICTE JK Scholarship Portal. Following submission, students are required to physically visit their nearest designated Facilitation-cum-Document Verification Centre (FDVC) by tomorrow, July 30, 2026, to verify original certificates.

 Failure to complete document verification will result in disqualification from the seat allotment process
