Guru Nanak Dev University conducts semester exams for all its undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and professional courses twice a year. The exams play a key role in assessing the academic progress of students and maintaining academic standards across all departments.
GNDU conducts its theory and practical exams under the guidance of the Controller of Examinations. For most courses, exams are held in May–June for even semesters and in November–December for odd semesters. The university follows a CBCS (Choice-Based Credit System) for many programs which allows students to earn credits at their own pace.
The even semester exams (for 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters) are expected to begin from May 15, 2025, and continue till June 10, 2025 while the odd semester exams (for 1st, 3rd, and 5th semesters) are likely to be held between November 25, 2025, and December 20, 2025.
