Darbhanga Medical College (DMC) is a leading state medical school in Bihar, India. It was founded in 1946 with support from Maharaja Kameshwar Singh. In 1925, Darbhanga received land and funds for a medical college from King Rameshwar Singh.
Today, DMC is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University and manages a large 1,500-bed hospital in Laheriasarai and serving a large population in northern Bihar.
DMC trains students to be doctors. Annually, 150 students join the MBBS program through the NEET-UG exam. The college also offers options for MD and MS degrees in Paediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, and Orthopaedics, with around 100 seats available via NEET-PG.
