Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is a famous public university in Kerala. It was founded in 1971 as the University of Cochin and was renamed CUSAT in 1986. The UGC recognises the university, and NAAC has given it an A+ grade.

The bachelor's, master's, doctoral, diploma, and certificate programs are offered by CUSAT. These include engineering, science, management, law, humanities, marine sciences, and social sciences.

CUSAT Eligibility Criteria 

The requirements for getting into Cochin University of Science and Technology change based on the program.

To get into the CUSAT MBA program, you need a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and have scored at least 50%. You also need acceptable scores on the CAT, CMAT, or CUSAT CAT.

For undergrad programs like B.Tech, B.Sc, or BBA, you should have passed your 10+2 exams with the right subjects and grades that the university wants.

If you’re looking at master's programs like M.Tech, M.Sc, or MCA, you’ll need an undergraduate degree in a related field with the minimum required marks.

CUSAT  Fees 

The costs at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) vary according to the course of study.

The MBA program costs roughly INR 1.5–2 lakh in total for the two years. Annual tuition for undergraduate courses such as B.Tech, B.Sc, or BBA is around INR 40,000 to INR 1 lakh. 

Postgraduate programs like M.Tech, M.Sc, and MCA range from INR 50,000 to INR 1.5 lakh each year.

Ph.D. and M.Phil. programs are about INR 20,000–INR 50,000 annually, but this depends on the department and the area of study.

CUSAT Admission Process 

The Cochin University of Science and Technology admission process for 2025 is straightforward and based on merit.  Applicants can submit their applications by visiting the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) website.  

To apply in CUSAT:

1.  Complete the form on the official site and upload mark sheets, ID, and entrance exam results.

2.  MBA applicants need CAT, CMAT, or CUSAT CAT scores. B.Tech and M.Tech. 

3.  Candidates are shortlisted based on scores, grades, and experience for the next steps.

4.  Shortlisted candidates might have interviews, group discussions, or counselling

5.  The final decision will be made considering grades, entrance exam results, interview results, and experience.

6.  Admitted students will pay fees to enrol.

CUSAT Exam 2025 

The CUSAT Exam in 2025 covers various programs like MBA, B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, and Ph.D. CUSAT MBA exams are held each year in two semesters, typically in May–June and November–December. 

Students should register for exams and pay fees by the university's deadline. Exam hall tickets can be downloaded one to two weeks before the test date. Students must bring their hall ticket and a valid ID to the exam centre.

CUSAT Result 2025 

Cochin University of Science and Technology releases exam results within 6-8 weeks following the end of the examination period. The results for the May-June 2025 semester are expected around late July or August 2025. And results from the November-December 2025 semester will probably be available by February 2026.

Students can see their scores on the CUSAT website or the student portal by entering their exam roll number and the necessary info. Once the results are out, the university allows 15 days for re-evaluation, during which students can ask for their answer scripts to be rechecked, if they want.

CUSAT  Placement 

Cochin University of Science and Technology is giving its students good job placement options in 2025. The university's placement cell works with many companies both in India and around the world to get graduates jobs in different fields.

The busiest time for placements is usually from December 2024 to May 2025. Students are typically recruited by companies in the fields of research, finance, maritime studies, IT, and aerospace. Some of the main companies that recruit here are Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Indian Oil, HLL, and the Indian Navy.
