Annamalai University Online through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has been operating since 1979. It is open to thousands of students who want to study in a flexible way.
The university offers more than 200 distance and online courses at the UG, PG, diploma, and certificate levels in different streams of arts, commerce, science, management, and computer applications. The learners learn the content via printed materials, online LMS, and study centers spread all over India.
The programs are in a semester pattern, and exams are held twice a year. Annamalai University Online is a UGC-DEB-approved and NAAC A+ grade institute, so degrees are valid for jobs and further studies.

The university provides a wide selection of undergraduate courses available through Annamalai University Online like B.A. (Tamil, English, History, Economics), B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc (Mathematics, Computer Science), and B.F.A. in music and dance.
The Annamalai University online MBA is a 2-year program with a choice of a maximum of six specializations. These are Financial Management, Marketing, HR, International Business, E-Business, and Hospital Management, and is AICTE and UGC-DEB approved for working professionals.
There are also details about other Anna Malai University online programs such as M.A., M.Com, M.Sc (Yoga, Applied Psychology), MCA, MSW, and diploma/certificate courses in various areas that follow the semester system and have exams twice a year.
Candidates should pass their 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 45-50% marks to be eligible for Annamalai University online BA programs in subjects like Tamil, English, History, Economics, or Sociology.
Students willing to take an Anna Malai University online B.Tech related course such as B.Sc Computer Science or BCA, must have 10+2 with Mathematics or Computer Science as a subject and a minimum of 50% marks.
However, a real B. Tech is still only available on-campus. PG programs like the Annamalai University online MBA require a bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for the reserved categories). At the same time, the MCA program requires graduation along with Mathematics at 10+2 or degree level.
The university has kept the fees low for all the programs so as to keep the education accessible to students of different backgrounds. The Anna Malai Online Fees for the UG courses like B.A. and B.Com are very low. It is starting at around INR 3,100 and going up to INR 10,000 in total.
The BBA and BCA range from INR 15,000 to INR 25,000 for the full course. The Anna Malai University online MBA fees are around INR 36,000 to INR 50,000 for the 2-year program. The exact amount is dependent upon the specialisation like Finance or Marketing.
Annamalai University admissions are done online by students through a straightforward online or offline process. In the first step, they themselves go to the official CDOE website (audde.in) or a nearby study centre and download the application form for the respective course or directly fill out the form.
Next, they provide their personal details and academic qualifications and also select the program such as BA, MBA, or BCA. After that, candidates take a printout of the filled application form or save the details typed online and write down all the necessary information from their documents.
They pay the application/registration fee ranging from 100 to 500 INR either through online means like net banking, UPI, or card or through a demand draft at the study centres. After the registration and payment, the university issues a provisional admission letter to students.
Students take admission confirmation by paying the first-semester fee and getting study materials from centres or online. The whole admission process takes approximately 7 to 15 days depending on the queue.
The university exams are either per semester or on an annual pattern. The written tests are conducted in the approved centres twice a year in the districts of Tamil Nadu like Cuddalore, Villupuram, and Mayiladuthurai.
The exams for the December 2025 session will be held from 26th December 2025 to early January 2026. And the UG, PG, diploma, MBA, MCA, and certificate programs will be covered in the morning (9:30 AM–12:30 PM) and afternoon (2:00 PM–5:00 PM) sessions.
Students fill in their online exam forms from 17 November to 3 December 2025 (with a penalty until 8 December) and pay INR 100-200 per paper via the portal. You can check the subject-wise schedules in the 240-page timetable PDF on the official site.
Annamalai University Online results are made public through the official student portal. It is approximately 1-2 months after the completion of the exams. Students, thus, have the facility of checking their marks by entering their registration number and date of birth.
In most cases, results for the December 2025 examinations that will start on the 26th of December will be available from the end of February or March 2026. The results cover UG, PG, MBA, MCA, and diploma courses along with individual subject scores and pass status.
The university does not provide formal on-campus placement drives or a separate cell for distance learners as regular programs do. The UGC-DEB approval and an extensive alumni network help to get jobs on their own in government, private sectors, education, banking, and IT.
They take their degrees to get promoted, take competitive exams, and change their careers. However, they have to be very careful, as there are very few structured ways to get help. Some study centres may offer guidance or provide job listings, but there are no official records regarding the average salaries and recruiters specifically for online programs.
