The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) extended the online application deadline for the Miscellaneous Services Recruitment Examination 2024 (Advertisement No. 13/2024). Graduate job seekers across West Bengal now have until June 9, 2026, to submit their applications.
In a major relief to state government job aspirants, the commission has also increased the upper age limit for eligibility to 44 years, opening the doors for thousands of additional candidates. Eligible candidates can apply directly through the official website at psc.wb.gov.in.
Extended Deadline: Online registration closes on June 9, 2026 (up to 3:00 PM).
Revised Age Limit: Must be between 20 and 44 years old as of January 1, 2024.
Correction Window: Registered aspirants can edit their application forms from May 22 to May 28, 2026.
Application Fee: INR 160 for General/OBC, while for SC, ST applicants of West Bengal, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are completely fee-exempt.
To apply for these prestigious state government roles, aspirants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Additionally, applicants must be able to read, write, and speak in Bengali (this language requirement does not apply to those whose mother tongue is Nepali).
The recruitment drive targets highly sought-after graduation-level positions across 19 different state departments, including:
Assistant Child Development Project Officer (ACDPO)
Disaster Management Officer
Revenue Inspector
Block Youth Officer
Inspector (Backwards Classes Welfare)
Auditor of Co-operative Societies
Interested aspirants are advised to complete their registration well before the June 9 deadline to avoid last-minute technical glitches on the state portal.
