WBCAP Admission 2026: UG Registration Starts From May 18

The Higher Education Department of West Bengal has officially opened the online application window for the West Bengal Centralised Admission Portal 2026 today, May 18. Students seeking admission into undergraduate (UG) courses across state-aided colleges and universities can now register online. 

The official portal, wbcap.We will accept applications until June 1, 2026. This single-window system eliminates the need for individual college applications, streamlining the process for BA, BSc, and BCom aspirants.

WBCAP 2026 Schedule & Important Dates

• May 18, 2026: Online registration and choice filling begin.

• June 1, 2026: Final date to submit the online application form.

• June 9, 2026: Release of the first seat allotment and merit list.

• June 9 - June 15, 2026: Online admission and fee payment for phase 1.

• June 27- July 4, 2026: Physical document verification at respective colleges.

• July 6, 2026: Commencement of first-year UG classes.

How to Apply Online for West Bengal UG Admission 2026

1. Visit Official Website: Navigate to the portal at wbcap.in.

2. New Registration: Click the registration link and enter your 10+2 roll number, mobile number, and email.

3. Fill Application Form: Log in via OTP to input personal details and academic marks.

4. Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, Class 10 admit card, and Class 12 mark sheet.

5. Select College Preferences: Select and prioritise up to 25 college and course combinations.

6. Submit Form: Verify all entered details and submit the application. Download the confirmation page.
