Police explained that after the candidate left the exam hall during the first session, when he arrived, officers found he was carrying a Bluetooth device. During questioning, he later named an employee from the exam centre and another person he knows.
A youth from Haryana was arrested for allegedly carrying a Bluetooth device in the Staff Selection Commission examination held here on Tuesday, police said. Authorities mentioned they are now trying to find the two other people he allegedly told them were helping him cheat by assisting him during the test.
According to police, the Staff Selection Commission 'Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination' for Group B and C posts was a computer-based test held from November 12th to 30th at the Mahadev Digital Zone in Mahadevi Inter College. They said Deepak, a resident of Rohtak, appeared in the first shift examination held from 10 am to 11 am on Tuesday.
An individual suspected of trying to cheat during the SSC CHSL exam is reportedly a staff member at the examination centre. The person in question was allowed into the exam hall after passing the initial security check.
After being questioned, the candidate admitted that the device had been given to him by Lucky Singh, who works at the exam centre. A complaint was lodged with the police, and Deepak was arrested. Now, the police are trying to capture Lucky Singh and Jaish. Police said a case has been registered under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024.
