UPTET 2026 Results Declared: Get Details

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) officially declared the results for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 on August 26, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the state-level eligibility examination can now access and download their scorecards via the official portal at upessc.up.gov.in. 

The offline state examination was conducted last month across 955 designated centres on July 2, 3, and 4, 2026. This year's statistics reveal exceptionally strong performances across both primary and upper-primary categories. Out of more than 19.9 lakh registered candidates, over 13.3 lakh candidates successfully qualified the examination.

Performance Breakdown and Statistics

The commission reported record-high pass percentages this year. Because the examination was conducted over multiple days and shifts, UPESSC Chairman Prashant Kumar confirmed that the final merit list and marks were processed using a comprehensive normalisation method to ensure fair valuation.

The category-wise performance statistics are as follows:

• Primary Level (Classes 1 to 5): 7,13,648 candidates appeared, with 5,71,435 qualifying, marking an 80.07% pass rate.

• Upper Primary Level (Classes 6 to 8): 10,57,021 candidates appeared, with 7,59,513 qualifying, resulting in a 71.85% pass rate.

• Working Teachers (Primary): 1,22,405 teachers appeared, and 93,387 cleared the exam (76.29%).

• Working Teachers (Upper Primary): 1,46,394 teachers appeared, with 1,13,384 qualifying (77.45%).

Qualifying Criteria and Next Steps

To clear the UPTET 2026, general category candidates required a minimum score of 60% (90 out of 150 marks). Reserved category candidates, including OBC, SC, ST, and EWS, required a minimum passing score of 55% (82 out of 150 marks).

Qualified candidates will be awarded the UPTET Eligibility Certificate, which is a mandatory qualification for applying to government teaching positions in primary and upper primary schools across Uttar Pradesh.

3. Enter your 10-digit roll number and password/date of birth.

4. Click submit to view your detailed scorecard.
