New Delhi | May 1, 2026 - If you are seeking admission into doctoral programs, you can apply for the June 2026 University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). Notification to this effect was released on April 29, when the registration link on ugcnet.nta.nic.in was activated by the NTA.

The fee will be collected through the payment gateway by any of the methods – Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and UPI.

Go to the ugcnet. nta. nic. in the official site. After that, click on "UGC NET June 2026 Registration." You have two options for registration: either through email ID/Mobile Number or through MeriPehchaan (using Aadhaar, PAN, or DigiLocker).
Your system-generated Application Number and Password will be used for login. Input the required information about yourself, select 85 subjects and indicate four exam city preferences.
Ensure that you take a live photograph (you can use a webcam or mobile phone to do this) which will then be uploaded alongside.
Choose your payment gateway, i. e., SBI/ICICI/HDFC/Canara Bank and make the payment of the fee as per your category.
Download and print out the Confirmation Page once you have made a successful payment. Remember to enclose the printed page because the application without it will be deemed invalid by NTA.
