TNEA 2026 Registration Opens For Engineering Aspirants

The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, opens the online registration portal for TNEA 2026 (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) as of May 3, 2026. Eligible students aiming for B.E. and B.Tech seats across government and private engineering colleges in the state can now submit their applications via the official website, tneaonline.org.

With the registration last date set for June 2, 2026, candidates are encouraged to complete their profiles early to avoid last-minute technical delays. Admissions this year continue to be based on 12th-standard cutoff marks (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) rather than an entrance exam.

Step-by-Step Application Process

1. To apply, visit the Portal. 

2. User Registration: Use a valid mobile number and email ID to generate a login.

3. Data Entry: Input personal details, academic scores, and Special Reservation categories (Sports, Ex-servicemen, etc.).

4. Fee Payment: INR 500 for General/OBC and INR 250 for SC/ST/SCA.

5. Certificate Upload: Digital copies of mark sheets and community certificates are mandatory for online verification in the state engineering admissions.
