The government of Uttar Pradesh has revealed to the public a large-scale recruitment campaign that will cover around 1.5 lakh government jobs in 2026. This plan, which has been greenlit by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is expected to achieve the target of 10 lakh government jobs created in a period of ten years by the end of 2026.
Recruitment will be undertaken in different sectors, while the following areas will have the most emphasis:
Police Department (~50,000 posts): It covers about 30,000 constables, 5,000 sub-inspectors, and 15,000 other specialised roles together with the technical staff.
Education Department (~50,000 posts): The area of assistant teachers, lecturers, and principals mainly.
Revenue Department (~20,000 posts): Mainly for Lekhpal land recorder.
Other Departments (~30,000 posts): Consists of openings in Health, Housing Development, Prisons, and Child Development and Nutrition.
Government jobs exceeding 8.5 lakhs were filled by 2017, and completing this drive would herald Uttar Pradesh as the very first state to deliver 10 lakh jobs within a decade.
Departments will ask for the recruitment ads to be released just in time by quickly finalising the vacancies.
With online Apps, the whole process of recruitment will be merit-based and transparent.
