The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has published the earlier-mentioned official notification (CEN 08/2025) confirming the hiring of 312 recruits in the Ministerial & Isolated Categories. The online application process began on December 30, 2025, and will close on January 29, 2026, allowing for a one-month submission window.
The recruitment drive covers several specialized roles across various Indian Railway zones:
Junior Translator (Hindi): 202 posts
Lab Assistant Gr. III (Chemist & Metallurgist): 39 posts
Staff and Welfare Inspector: 24 posts
Chief Law Assistant: 22 posts
Senior Publicity Inspector: 15 posts
Public Prosecutor: 7 posts
Scientific Assistant (Training): 2 posts
Scientific Supervisor/Ergonomics and Training: 1 post
The candidates applying for the recruitment must comply with the specified age, educational, and selection criteria.
Age Limit: The age of the applicants should be generally between 18 and 33/40 years (depending on the post) as on January 1, 2026.
Educational Qualification: The qualifications are role-specific, e.g., a Master's degree for Junior Translator posts and a Law degree with relevant practice experience for Chief Law Assistant posts.
Selection Process: The recruitment will be a multi-stage process starting with a CBT test, which is a Computer-Based Test, a Translation Test for the posts applicable, followed by document verification and a medical examination.
For General, OBC, EWS: ? 500 (abated by ?400 after appearing in the CBT).
For SC/ST/PH/Female/Ex-SM: ?250 (Refunded in full after appearing in the CBT).
The application can be made online by the eligible candidates through the official RRB Application Portal.
Registration: A valid mobile number and email ID are required to create an account on the portal.
Form Filling: After logging in, fill out the application providing personal and educational information.
Document Upload: Your photograph, signature, and certificates of the category should be uploaded as scanned copies.
Fee Payment: The fee can be paid online through Net Banking, Credit/Debit card, or UPI.
Submission: Take a look at all the information and print the confirmation page for your records.
