The Joint Admission Test for Master's (JAM) 2026, which is a national entrance examination to postgraduate science courses in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and other elite institutes, will be held.JAM 2026 will be conducted by IIT Bombay.

The examination and result announcements have been set, and the following dates are important:
Online Application Process (JOAPS) Start Date: September 5, 2025
Last Date for Applications: The registration date was extended to October 20, 2025.
Admit Card Availability: January 5, 2026
Exam date: February 15, 2026 (Sunday), which will be held in two sessions (morning and afternoon)
Results Announcement: March 20, 2026
Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Duration: 3 hours
Test Papers: The examination is performed for seven subjects: Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA), and Physics (PH).
Exam Pattern: The exam consists of 60 questions and is of 100 marks divided into three sections: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. Negative marking is applicable to Section A (MCQ), while there is no such provision for Sections B and C.
Eligibility: A candidate must have graduated or be in the final year of graduation at the time of application. There is no upper or lower age limit for applicants.
