The selection of their Freeze, Float, or Exit option by the candidates will start from the date of January 7, 2026, and the decision must be made by 1 PM, January 15, 2026.

Steps for Freeze, Float, and Exit

Candidates must choose Freeze, Float, or Exit and pay the INR 20,000 non-refundable confirmation fee by January 15, 2026 (1:00 PM).

  • Freeze: Choose this if you are satisfied with the allotted NLU, as the seat is locked and you must complete document upload and fee payment.

  • Float: Choose this if you accept the seat but want to be considered for a higher-preference NLU in the next rounds.

  • Exit: Choose this if you do not want the allotted seat and wish to withdraw from the CLAT 2026 counselling process.

Note: If no option is selected and the fee is not paid by the deadline, the seat will be forfeited and marked as “Not Interested.”
