SSC Calendar 2026 Released: Exam Schedule for CGL, CHSL, GD, MTS & Other SSC Exams 

The commission's schedule provides preliminary information on when notifications will be released, when the application window will open and when it will close. And when the major SSC exams—the CGL, CHSL, JE, MTS, Stenographer, Sub-Inspector, and GD Constable will be held. 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam dates for the term of 2026–27. The schedule given by the Commission notification is the tentative one for release of notifications, window for online applications, and the expected month for holding major SSC examinations namely CGL, CHSL, JE, MTS, Stenographer, Sub-Inspector and GD Constable.

Most major recruitment examinations are going to start from March 2026 by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) as per the examination schedule released by that SSC, and will continue till early 2027. SSC Exam Calendar 2026

All three JSA/LDC, SSA/UDC and ASO Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination are so far proposed in May 2026 for 2026. The high-profile recruitments including combined graduate level (CGL) and junior engineer (JE) examinations, are expected around May – June 2026, whereas the Selection Post (Phase-XIV) examination will be conducted from May to July 2026. 

In the second quarter of the year, the exam schedule for Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level (CHSL) is July - 2026. This will be preceded by the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ and the Combined Hindi Translators Exams in August – September 2026.
