RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Notification for 6,565 Vacancies

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the short notice for the massive RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 (CEN 02/2026). This latest recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 6,565 vacancies for Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III posts across various railway zones. 

According to the official announcement, the detailed notification will be published on June 29, 2026, and the online application window will open on June 30, 2026. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official unified portal at rrbapply.gov.in until July 29, 2026.

Vacancy Breakup, Pay Scale, and Age Limit

The total 6,565 vacancies are divided into two main categories:

1. Technician Grade I Signal (323 Posts):

• Initial Pay: INR 29,200 per month (Level-5)

• Age Limit: 18 to 33 years (as of July 1, 2026)

2. Technician Grade III (6,242 Posts):

• Initial Pay: INR 19,900 per month (Level-2)

• Age Limit: 18 to 30 years (as of July 1, 2026)

Educational Qualification Criteria

• For Technician Grade I Signal: Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Instrumentation—alternatively, a Diploma or B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering stream is required.

• For Technician Grade III: Candidates must have passed Matriculation/Class 10/SSLC plus an ITI certificate from a recognised NCVT/SCVT institution in relevant trades, or a completed Act Apprenticeship. Class 12 pass-outs with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) are also eligible for specific departments.

Application Fee Structure is as follows:

• General / OBC / EWS: INR 500 (INR 400 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT exam).

• SC / ST / Female / PH / Transgender: INR 250 (Full ?250 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT exam).
