Candidates are advised to keep their structural identity proofs, caste certificates, and Class 10/12 academic transcripts fully updated before the NTA registration portal opens.

JEE Main 2027: Expected Schedule & Important Dates

Adhering to traditional annual academic timelines, NTA will organize the National Level Entrance exam in two independent sessions to offer students maximum flexibility to improve their scores.

Exam Pattern & Compulsory Question Blueprint

Aspirants must focus heavily on the official distribution blueprint to streamline their ongoing mock test revisions:

• Locked Structural Framework: The Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) architecture remains hard-locked at a total of 75 questions divided equally among Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (25 questions each).

• Compulsory Numerical Entries: In Section B (Numerical Value Questions), candidates face 5 questions per subject. Unlike older legacy formats, all 5 numerical questions are entirely compulsory with no optional alternatives.

• Negative Marking Protocol: The rigorous evaluation scheme enforces a strict +4 marks for a correct response and a deduction of -1 mark for incorrect answers. This negative scoring system applies uniformly to both standard MCQs and numerical entry blanks.
