National Law University Odisha (NLUO) will offer a two-year MBA in Healthcare Management and Law (MBA-HML). It will start in the 2026–28 academic session. This program is considered the first of its kind in India.
Each course is designed with a legal focus that helps to solve real-world problems in hospitals, with medical devices, and in the healthcare industry. The MBA program is designed to prepare professionals to manage the growing healthcare industry and understand its legal aspects.

The MBA-HML program at NLUO accepts graduates from any academic area with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). Those with backgrounds in law, healthcare, medicine, life sciences, or business might be preferred. However, students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
The admission in MBA-HML is based on grades, entrance exam scores (CLAT-PG, CAT, GMAT, or XRAT), a Statement of Purpose, and an interview.
For applicants from Medical, Paramedical, and Allied Areas, decisions are based on academic history, the Statement of Purpose, related work history, and a subsequent interview.
Law graduates will be evaluated based on grades, the Statement of Purpose, any work history, and CLAT-PG scores from 2022 to 2025. Shortlisted applicants will then be interviewed.
For those from other fields, selection depends on grades, the Statement of Purpose, work history, and XRAT, CAT, or GMAT scores from 2022 to 2025. An interview will follow.
