NEET-UG 2026 Exam: Registration Window Open Soon

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is about to announce the applications for the NEET-UG 2026 exams. The expected starting date of the exam is May 3, 2026. The  Official notifications and the registration window are expected to open in February 2026. The official website for registration and exam details is neet.nta.nic.in and exams.nta.ac.in.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The NMC released the finalized syllabus on December 22, 2025, and the examination will be conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode. The remaining details are as follows:

  • Duration: The exam duration is 3 hours and 20 minutes, from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM IST.

  • Subjects: The paper will cover Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology).

  • New Change: Section B with optional questions may be removed, making all questions compulsory, subject to confirmation in the final bulletin.

  • Minimum Age: Candidates must be 17 years old by December 31, 2026.

  • Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

  • Number of Attempts: There is no limit on the number of attempts for NEET-UG.

Candidates are urged to ensure their Aadhaar card, UDID card, and Category certificates are updated and accurate before registration begins to avoid technical issues.
